This region of the Drôme represents one of the most attractive natural area of the Southeast of France, with the Regional Natural reserve and the biggest nature reserve of France: "Les Hauts Plateux du Vercors".

The Royans, fit in the Pre-Alps of Vercors, is a country of hills and green plateaus. It appears as a pleasant place of stay allowing remarkable walks and excursions: road of "Gorges de la Bourne", road of "Goulets", Combe-Laval´s cirque, pass "de la Bataille", pleasure boat on Isère. Vercors, with its rich historic past, plateau rather than mountain, suspended over abysses, offers incomparable natural sites: cliffs, caves, circuses, villages of character in the long mountain past but also vast spaces convenient to the practice of the activities of open air, the summer, and of all the sports of snow, the winter.
